Black Rock wind powers Grant and Mineral Counties with reliable, affordable, clean energy – and helps West Virginia create a better, more sustainable future. This 115 MW wind farm increases West Virginia’s wind capacity by 15%, providing enough clean electricity to power 55,000 homes.Clearway already serves as one of the leading taxpayers in Grant and Mineral counties. Black Rock allows for even more local investment over the project’s lifespan. Black Rock’s community benefits program will enhance local nonprofits and organizations through annual donations and community grants.
